8/21-22/18 - Rock Royalty Jeremy Clyde & Kate Taylor

Two Stars. Two big nights together. A double bill show of Jeremy Clyde and Kate Taylor. Both featured on both nights.

Jeremy Clyde of Chad and Jeremy celebrates the release of his new CD, "The Bottom Drawer Sessions No. 4."

The first of Chad Stuart & Jeremy Clyde's 14 U.S. chart hits was "Yesterday's Gone", followed by "A Summer Song", "Willow Weep for Me", "If I Loved You", and "Before and After". TV appearances included "Shindig", "Hullabaloo", "The Patty Duke Show", "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "Batman".

Jeremy's songwriting gift stayed with him through decades of off and on touring with Chad & Jeremy and through an acting career in British television, including an appearance on "Downton Abbey", and the stages of London's West End. With the 2014 release of "The Bottom Drawer Sessions No. 1", 2016's "The Bottom Drawer Sessions No. 2", spring 2017's, "The Bottom Drawer Sessions No. 3", and spring 2018's "The Bottom Drawer Sessions No. 4", Jeremy Clyde has --with more than 50 sweeping, evocative, inspired recordings - officially reclaiming his songwriter's title. With his 2018 U.S. tour dates, both solo and with Peter Asher, another title, "troubadour" can't be far behind.

Kate Taylor was born in New England and raised in North Carolin. Kate shares her dual musical heritage with brothers James, Livingston, Hugh, and her late brother Alex. Her roots run deep in the soul, gospel and rockabilly sounds of her southern upbringing and in the literate folk, pop and Appalachian stylings that comprise the balance of her family's musical legacy.

Fronting her own band at fifteen, Kate signed her first recording contract with Atlantic/Cotillion records at nineteen under the tutelage of her manager, legendary producer Peter Asher. That album, "Sister Kate," produced her first charting hit, a cover of Elton John's "Country Comfort," recorded with his encouragement and blessing.

She later recorded two albums for Columbia Records: "Kate Taylor," produced by her brother James Taylor and "It's in There," produced by acclaimed Muscle Shoals/Nashville producer Barry Beckett. Her duet with James, "The Shoop Shoop Song," from "Kate Taylor," became her next charting hit single and remains an audience favorite today.

Kate's release, Beautiful Road, received 3 stars from Rolling Stone, who dubbed it a "heartfelt folk-rock gem."
